Family name distribution in Japanese societies

We have studied on the empirical distributions of Japanese family name appe aring in a telephone directory, and found the good power-law behaviors on t heir distributions. In this paper we propose a possible model of family nam e distribution based on the mixture of diffusion-limited aggregation (DLA) and percolation growths.
