Abstract
How wafer permeates cellular membranes and what this means for cell functio ning and several diseases are now emerging from the study of the aquaporins (AQPs) the wafer channel family. A combination of sequence analysis, three -dimensional structure determination, and physiology of the AQP family prot eins provides a glimpse info the workings of wafer channels.
