Abstract
The facile synthetic route to selective C-mono-and C,C-dialkylation of thio phosphorylacetonitriles by primary haloalkanes under phase transfer catalys is conditions has been developed. Using under the same conditions unsymmetr ic alpha,omega-dihaloalkanes results in different linear and cyclic product s depending on the alkylene chain length. 3-Halopropylsubstituted thiophosp horylacetonitriles synthesized transform to mono-and bis-heterophosphacycla nes under elevated temperatures.
