Abstract
Porous carbon membrane plates (PCMPs) for pervaporation applications were p repared by carbonizing phenol resin powder. The plates formed were found to be effective in separating benzene from azeotropic benzene-cyclohexane mix tures. The plates were stable in concentrated acid solution and maintained their good separation properties. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
