Abstract
Homopolymerization of 2-vinylpyridine, polymerization of acrylonitrile in t he presence of poly(vinylpyridine), and copolymerization of acrylonitrile w ith 2-vinylpyridine initiated by tributyldimagnesium iodide were studied. I t was shown that the occurrence of the secondary reactions and their extent are controlled by the reaction conditions and the initial concentration of the reagents.
