A GIS-based management system for farm scientific fertilization was develop
ed to investigate the possibility of scientific fertilization with spatiall
y variable field operations. The basic method used in design and implementa
tion of the system is in detail discussed. The system was equipped with a c
ommercial GIS to simulate true general process of spatial fertilization man
agement and to provide very satisfactory recommendations of fertilization f
or its users. An entity relationship model for building basic framework of
the system was used to complete analysis and design of the system. The fina
lly designed system meets the requirements of farmers and the system implem
entation.
