Abstract
In this paper, the problem of self-adjointness of the product of two differ ential operators is considered. A number of results concerning self-adjoint ness of the product L2L1 of two second-order self-adjoint differential oper ators are obtained by using the general construction theory of self-adjoint extensions of ordinary differential operators. 1991MR Subject Classificati on 34B20.
