Abstract
Communication: Low shrinkage, no high-temperature treatment, and greater ve rsatility are some of the advantages of the method for fabricating ordered macroporous materials presented here-assembly of ultrafine colloidal partic les of oxides (rather than alkoxide precursors) using monodisperse polystyr ene as a template. The Figure shows macroporous silica made from a Snowtex ZL silica suspension.
