Abstract
Lectotypes are designated for Psyttalia distinguenda (Granger) and the symp atric P. insignipennis (Granger), and diagnostic features are provided for these two species to facilitate recognition during sampling programmes for tephritid parasitoids. Rearing records are provided for specimens collected on Reunion from fruits primarily infested with Ceratitis capitata (Wiedema nn) (Diptera: Tephritidae).
