Abstract
The contribution of the dosage of target enzyme P-450 14 alpha-demethylase (14 alpha DM) to fluconazole resistance in both Candida albicans and Saccha romyces cerevisiae remains unclear. Here, we show that overexpression of Sa ccharomyces P-450 14 alpha DM in S. cerevisiae, under the control of the re gulatable promoter GAL1, results in azole resistance.
