N. Nikoloudakis et al., Double-switch operation for congenitally corrected transposition and Ebstein's malformation, CARD YOUNG, 9(3), 1999, pp. 319-322
An infant is described with congenitally corrected transposition and Ebstei
n's malformation. Banding of the pulmonary trunk had been previously perfor
med because of a muscular ventricular septal defect. The patient underwent
the double-switch procedure with the intention of unloading the morphologic
ally right ventricle and the malformed tricuspid valve. This resulted in pr
ompt postoperative functional and haemodynamic improvement.
