Abstract
The paper presents the results obtained in the retention of Zn(II) ions fro m ammoniacal solutions with chemically modified spruce wood bark. The chemi cal treatment of the bark Led to a sorbent which permits the quantitative c oncentration of [Zn(NH3)](2+). Optimal conditions, such as: pH, contact tim e, ion concentration, temperature and stirring, have been established.
