Abstract
The reaction of PPh4[(eta(5)-C5Me5)WS3] with 3 equiv. of [Cu(MeCN)(4)]PF6 i n MeCN yielded an unusual high nuclearity W/Cu/S cluster [{(eta(5)-C5Me5)WS 3}(3)Cu-7- (MeCN)(9)](PF6)(4) 1, which in turn gave rise to a 2D polymer [( eta(5)-C5Me5)WS3Cu3Cl(MeCN)(pz)]PF6 2 upon treatment with pyrazine in MeCN in the presence of LiCl.
