Abstract
In the presence of Cu2+ (10(-5) M) very little NO is generated from GSNO at similar to 10(-3) M at pH 7.4, whereas the reaction is quantitative at sim ilar to 10(-6) M; this is explicable in terms of the complexation of Cu2+ b y the product GSSG.
