Abstract
It is demonstrated that shielded foams can be efficiently used as millimetr e-wave waveguides. Experimental examples are provided and discussed with re spect to standard planar or waveguide techniques in the 26-40GHz frequency range. A 2% bandpass foam-waveguide filter is designed, with an insertion l oss of similar to-3.2dB at 28.7GHz.
