Abstract
Two types of relaxation polarisation are combined to analyse the frequency spectrum of the complex permittivity of MnZn ferrite. The dielectric loss o f the toroid core has been calculated based on this polarisation model. Res ults show that the dielectric loss accounts for 25% of the total loss in th e megahertz region.The effect of whitening the input data in a multilayer p erceptron-based decision feedback equaliser (DFE) is evaluated. It is shown from computer simulations that whitening of the received data employing ad aptive lattice channel equalisation algorithms improves the convergence rat e and bit error rate performances of multilayer perceptron-based DFEs.
