Abstract
A printed bowtie antenna for a post-reception synthetic focusing surface pe netrating radar (PRSF-SPR) has been developed with the aid of finite differ ence time domain analysis. Antenna free space characteristics were compared against practical measurements and the performance of the antenna was anal ysed when soil is present.
