Abstract
The 2,6-bis(pyrazolyl)pyrazine Ligand 1 forms a 2,2-metallamacrocycle 3, co mposed of two ligands and two cations, in the presence of the Ag+ cation. I n the crystalline phase, the 1,3,5-tris(pyrazolyl)benzene ligand 2 leads to an infinite metallatubular network in the presence of the Ag+ cation, comp osed of the 2,2-metallamacrocycle 4, which is formed from two molecules of 2 and two cations. This infinite network is formed by double interconnectio n of consecutive metallamacrocycles through binding of Ag+ centers by the f ree pyrazolyl moieties.
