Jq. Zhu et al., The effects of Te precipitation on IR transmittance and crystalline quality of as-grown CdZnTe crystals, INFR PHYS T, 40(5), 1999, pp. 411-415
The relationship of the Te precipitated phase concentration in the matrix t
o IR transmittance and crystalline quality of as-grown CdZnTe wafers was in
vestigated by means of various optical and structural techniques including
infrared (IR) transmission, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and Rut
herford backscattering spectroscopy (RBS). Results indicate that Te precipi
tates/inclusions in CdZnTe matrix reduce IR transmittance, especially at co
ncentration greater than or equal to 0.6 wt.%. Additionally, the crystallin
e perfection of near-stoichiometric as-grown CdZnTe is better than that of
non-stoichiometric samples, and decreases with increasing second-phase conc
entration. (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
