Abstract
An instructive case of isolated congenital folate malabsorption provides in sight into the understanding of this rare disease. Folate loading tests wit h both timed serum and cerebrospinal fluid folate determinations suggest th at both of the two mechanisms involved in gastrointestinal folate absorptio n are defective in this condition.
