Abstract
Experimental results are presented for the total yields of delayed neutrons from U-235 and Np-237 fission induced by neutrons with energies in the ran ge 0.7-5.0 MeV. The total yield of delayed neutrons from Np-237 fission ind uced by neutrons with energies in the range 1-4 MeV has been found to depen d greatly on energy. It has been shown that the character of the energy dep endence of the total yield of delayed neutrons originating from the fission of heavy nuclei is controlled by the emission of prompt fission neutrons.
