Abstract
We discuss some hydrgen-like-systems in materials with three examples. shal low impurities in semiconductors, excitons in crystalls and F centers in io nic materials. With these theme is possible link the hydrogen atom and soli d state physics topics in undergraduate modern physics courses in physics, chemistry or materials science.
