Abstract
A physics experiment is described, which allows the experimental verificati on of the Stefan-Boltzmann law of radiation. The experiment can be easily i mplemented in high school or college laboratories. A measurement method on which the experiment is bused has been improved to measure the Stefan-Boltz mann constant with low cost apparatus and we have found it as a ideal tool to introduce students to the concepts formulated in physics in the early 19 00's that led to the development of quantum mechanics.
