Abstract
Based on IR and H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopic studies, the oxidation produ ct of echinochrome with Ag2O was assigned the structure of 2,3-epoxy-7-ethy l-2,3-dihydro-2,3,5,6,8-pentahydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone.
