Abstract
The decomposition of 2-[4-(2-chloro-1,1-dimethylethyl)phenyl]propan-2-yl hy droperoxide in acetone catalyzed by H2SO4 affords 4-(2-chloro-1,1-dimethyle thyl)phenol. The kinetics of this reaction at 56 degrees C was studied.
