Abstract
The recent results of a search for exotic hadrons - masons and baryons - ar e presented in an accessible style. The expected properties of these states and methods of their identification are discussed. Evidence for exotic hid den-strangeness baryons and various hybrid mesons is analyzed and the searc h for heavy, exotic strange-charmed pentabaryons is summarized.
