Synthesis and reactions of mixed halo-1,3-butadienes

Published data on the methods of synthesis of mixed halo-1,3-butadienes are surveyed and systematised. Primary attention is devoted to the synthesis o f compounds having practical importance. The chemical transformations of mi xed halo-1,3-butadienes are considered and wide opportunities for employmen t of these substances in the synthesis of various valuable difficultly acce ssible polyfunctional compounds are shown.
