Abstract
The title compound, bis(2-phenyldiazenyl-1H-imidazole-N)silver(I) nitrate m ethanol solvate, [Ag(C9H8N4)(2)]NO3. CH3OH, is a monomeric complex linearly coordinated by two N atoms from two different imidazole rings, with Ag-N b ond distances of 2.138 (3) and 2.147 (3) Angstrom, and an N-Ag-N bond angle of 174.9(1)degrees. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak intramolecul ar N-H ... O and O-H ... O hydrogen bonds and an intermolecular N-H ... O h ydrogen bond involving the nitrate anion and the methanol solvent.
