5)(4)][Sn(C6H5)(3)(N-3)(2)], shows approximately trigonal-bipyramidal coord
ination geometry around the metal ion, with the azide moieties in axial pos
itions having equal bond distances [Sn-N 2.278 (5) and 2.281(6) Angstrom] b
ut different bond angles [Sn-N-N 117.4(4) and 125.2(5)degrees] to the tin.
The cation has its usual tetrahedral geometry.
