Abstract
The structure and absolute stereochemistry of the fungal metabolite dermoca narin 10 (2), which differs from all previous members of the dermocanarin g roup by virtue of the connectivity between the anthraquinone and dimethoxyn aphthol rings, is deduced from spectroscopic data and confirmed by a single -crystal X-ray structure analysis.
