A case report of a yearling who presented with a chronically enlarged dista
l radius and draining tract, with radiographically apparent sequestra. Surg
ical exploration found a large cortically lined defect in the medullary cav
ity and the presence of an atypical type of osseous sequestrum. This report
describes the case presentation, diagnostics, surgery, and case management
. Sequestration is discussed in depth, as well as our thoughts and theories
on this particular case.
