Abstract
Calixareneglycine eater acetamides 4a-c have been synthesized from calixare neacetyl chlorides 5a-c and glycine ethyl ester (6). Their ion-binding prop erties have been investigated by liquid-liquid extraction with radiotracer techniques. The experiments reveal a moderate affinity towards silver(I) io ns, which increases with calixarene ring size.
