Abstract
Kinetic parameters of imazapyr photodegradation in aqueous solution are pre sented at two pH values and different concentrations. To study the effect o f UW and sunlight irradiation reactions were carried out by using a pyrex r eactor equipped with UV high pressure mercury lamp and a solar simulator (H eraeus Suntest CPS+). The depletion of imazapyr concentration in water solu tion always followed first order kinetic. The half-life in water was 18.99 and 24.67 minutes at pH 7.0 and 4.0,respectively. The influence of organic matter on the photolytic processes was studied irradiating a solution of im azapyr with suspended humic acids (1:1 w:w).
