A technique for tuning under excitation limiters

Application of the under excitation limiters to prevent generators from ope rating beyond their steady-state stability limit is examined. Using frequen cy response techniques, an insight into the design of the limiter is gained . A tuning method is proposed which is robust and simple to apply.
