Abstract
We describe a fatal case of Wolman's disease in a 5-month-old Italian infan t with severe gastrointestinal symptoms in whom the diagnosis was made from intestinal biopsy findings at the age of 3 1/2 months. Abdominal CT scan, elevated blood acid phosphatase levels and histologic findings confirmed th e diagnosis.
