Abstract
A case of Aspergillus flavus endocarditis on valvular prosthesis following open heart surgery is reported. Detection of galactomannan antigen by doubl e sandwich ELISA was positive before surgery suggesting the interest of thi s test for diagnosing Aspergillus endocarditis in post cardiac surgery pati ents with endocarditis,major arterial emboli and blood cultures negative. P ost operative treatment was also monitored on levels of galactomannan antig en.
