Abstract
Purpose-material and method. The Sensititre YeastOne colorimetric microdilu tion method (AccuMed International, Inc., Westlake, OH) was compared with t he NCCLS broth macrodilution method for yeast susceptibility to antifungal agents. Results-conclusion. Agreement was 100 % for amphotericin B, 98 % for flucon azole, 98 % for itraconazole, 93 % for ketoconazole and 90 % for flucytosin e. Additionally, the colorimetric microdilution method is more cost effecti ve.
