Abstract
Four-element spinel-type selenides with the chemical composition MxGa2/3(1 - x)Cr2Se4 (M = Cd, Zn) were grown by the chemical vapour transport method [1-3]. The lattice parameters of the single crystals were determined by the Guinier method. The chemical compositions were established by X-ray microa nalyses, X-ray single crystal structure determination, and Raman spectrosco pic studies. Optimal conditions were worked out for formation of selenide s pinels. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
