Different systems consisting of a reagent and a fibrous adsorbent filled wi
th an anion exchanger were studied for determining molybdenum(VI) by solid-
phase spectroscopy. A system of a fibrous adsorbent filled with an AV-17 an
ion exchanger and phenylfluorone was selected and studied. The system provi
des the determination of molybdenum with a detection limit of 0.002 mg/L in
the presence of different cations that usually interfere with the determin
ation. A procedure for determining molybdenum (RSD < 15%) was developed and
verified in analyses of river, well, and tap water. The analysis takes 15-
20 min.
