Abstract
An analytical scheme was developed for determining trace elements in water with ultralow mineralization using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrom etry in combination with the method of single- and multielement standard ad ditions. The conditions of instrumental analysis were described. Groups of trace elements that can be determined by the method of single- and multiele ment additions (concentrations 0.05-100 mu g/kg) calculated on the basis of element distribution in the studied water were recommended; the additions were introduced by gravimetry. Internal standards for the analyte isotopes used to calculate concentrations were selected, and correlation equations w ere derived. Performance characteristics of the results of analyses were es timated.
