Abstract
A new species of rhizocephalan. Sacculina oblonga, is described and illustr ated on the basis of material collected from Amakusa Island, Kyushu, Japan. It parasitizes the littoral crab Cyclographsus intermedius. It could not b e determined whether earlier records of sacculinid species from Japanese C. intermedius belong to the same species.
