Abstract
In this paper, the problem of whether a given matrix can be decomposed into the sum of stable matrices is studied. The necessary and sufficient condit ion for this problem is given in terms of the trace of a given matrix. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Inc. All rights reserved.
