Abstract
The study of the asymptotics of quasi-compressibility methods is an essenti al tool to construct and improve numerical schemes in hydrodynamics, like e .g., stabilized finite element methods or time-splitting projection methods . The goal of this work is to illustrate different asymptotical solution be haviour for equations in magneto-hydrodynamics and those that describe reac tive flows for standard quasi-compressibility methods that influences the d esign of numerical algorithms.
