Abstract
The technique of interventional on-line MR-guided procedures in a 0.2 Tesla open magnet is presented. 72 procedures were performed including 60 brain biopsies and 12 interventions as catheter placement: for cyst: or abscess d rainage. The advantages and limitations are discussed and recent developmen ts such as MR-coil designs and MR-sequences are presented.
