Abstract
We present a case of fibrous dysplasia of the sphenoid bone complicated by visual loss and optic disc swelling. The occurrence of visual loss and opti c disc swelling led to decompressive surgical treatment of the fibrous dysp lasia. Fibrous dysplasia can be associated with optic disc oedema, but the mechanism for this has not been established.
