Abstract
I review the recent progress in the theory of s-channel helicity nonconserv ation (SCHNC) effects in diffractive DIS including the unitarity driven dem ise of the Burkhardt-Cottingham(BC) sum rule and strong scaling departure f rom the Wandzura-Wilczek(WW) relation.
