New eastern Atlantic neomenioid aplacophoran molluscs (Neomeniomorpha, Aplacophora)

Four new species of Neomeniomorpha (=Solenogastres sensu Salvini-Plawen 196 7a) belonging to four former monotypic genera are described: Acanthomenia a rcuata, Archaeomenia nova, Macellomenia aciculata, and Gymnomenia virgulata . A fifth new species, Lyratoherpia incali, belongs to a former questionabl y monotypic genus. Four species are from the West European Basin, and the f ifth, G. virgulata, is from the Namibia Basin. Descriptions are based chief ly on hard parts and external morphology; the reproductive system is descri bed if unknown or in need of redescription.
