Abstract
A case of histiocytic necrotizing lymphadenitis involving a right submandib ular lymph node is described in a 14-year-old Caucasian boy. The diagnosis was established on initial assessment by fine needle aspiration biopsy. Exc isional biopsy, performed because the lymph node enlargement failed to regr ess, confirmed the cytological findings.
