Abstract
The energy spectra of secondary neutrons from the neutron-induced fission o f Th-232, U-235, U-238, and Pu-239 nuclei are analyzed. A method for estima ting the mean energy of fission neutrons that takes into account the deviat ion of their spectrum from the Maxwell form is proposed and applied to anal ysis of our own data on Th-232, U-235, and Pu-239 fission induced by 1.5-Me V neutrons.
