Abstract
An open problem about the perfect reconstruction of modified multidimension al and multirate delay chain system is solved. All possible delay matrices satisfying perfect reconstruction are designed for the given sampling matri x in two-dimension case, and a method is also proposed for solving the syst em of linear equations in a class of integer rings.
